You’re My Only Hope is a series of works that re-stage an iconic scene from the 1977 film Star Wars. The piece reimagines the pre-cinematic praxinoscope, expanding its structure into three-dimensional space. A central dome reflects a sequence of images, which, when viewed through the front window, creates a filmic effect. Each work features a different woman reenacting the sequence in an everyday setting, placing the moment of cinematic nostalgia into the mundane rhythms of daily life.
