David Lawrey & Jaki Middleton, 'What’s yours is mine' interactive sculpture, 2007 (interior detail view). Video: the artists.
What’s yours is mine is an immersive work that merges video, sculpture, and contemporary motion-sensing technology with the classic illusionary technique of Pepper’s Ghost. The piece features the artists re-enacting Bruce Nauman’s 1987 video performance "No, No, New Museum," within a meticulously crafted felt landscape. As viewers approach the work, their presence triggers the performance, which shifts focus depending on their viewpoint. The installation offers four distinct perspectives, ensuring that the performance adapts and evolves with each new viewer.
